Please read these terms carefully before using our services.

1. Introduction

Welcome to Essence H&B Salon. By booking an appointment or using our services, you agree to comply with and be bound by the following terms and conditions. These terms apply to all clients and visitors to our website and physical locations in Muthiga and Wangige.

2. Booking & Cancellations

Appointments: We recommend booking in advance to secure your preferred time and stylist. Walk-ins are welcome but subject to availability.

Cancellations: We understand that life happens. However, we respectfully request at least 24 hours notice for cancellations or rescheduling.

No-Shows: Clients who fail to show up for their appointment without prior notice may be required to pay a deposit for future bookings.

Deposits: For certain lengthy services (e.g., Sisterlocks installation, extensive braiding), a non-refundable deposit may be required to secure your slot. This deposit will be deducted from your final bill.

3. Late Arrivals

We value your time and the time of our other clients. If you are running late, please notify us as soon as possible.

  • We offer a 15-minute grace period.
  • If you arrive more than 15 minutes late, we may need to shorten your service time or reschedule your appointment to avoid delaying the next client.
  • Late arrivals that require rescheduling may be subject to a cancellation fee.

4. Service Satisfaction

Your satisfaction is our priority. If you are not entirely happy with your service, please let us know before leaving the salon or within 48 hours of your appointment.

We will do our best to rectify any issues. Refunds are generally not provided for services rendered, but we are happy to offer corrective services free of charge if the error was on our part.

5. Health & Safety

Allergies: Please inform us of any allergies, sensitivities, or medical conditions before your service begins. We are not liable for reactions to products if we were not informed of specific sensitivities.

Right to Refuse Service: We reserve the right to refuse service to anyone demonstrating inappropriate behavior, or if a client has a health condition that may be contagious or contraindicates the requested service (e.g., open scalp sores, lice).

6. Payments

Payment is due upon completion of services. We accept:

  • Cash (KES)
  • M-PESA
  • Major Credit/Debit Cards (Visa, Mastercard)

Prices are subject to change. We will always confirm the price of your service during consultation before beginning.

7. Personal Property

Essence H&B Salon is not responsible for any loss or damage to personal items brought into the salon. Please keep your valuables with you at all times.

8. Children Policy

We welcome children for services. However, for their safety and the relaxation of other clients, children not receiving services must be supervised by an adult at all times and remain in the waiting area.

9. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to update these Terms and Conditions at any time. Changes will be effective immediately upon posting to our website.
